Interesting and instructive discussion as always. Thanks! I’d be curious where you would place Tech Death, regardless of the subgenre’s merits. It’s probably a useful descriptor for a type of death metal. And along similar lines, where you would place Cryptopsy, especially the first 2 albums, I feel like their recent stuff is deathcore.
